About the Author Peter Howard
Peter Howard was for many years one of the most influential political columnists in Fleet Street. He captained England at Rugby football and represented Britain in the Olympics on the bobsleigh.
In 1940, in the course of his newspaper work, he met Moral Re-Armament, and he has worked closely with Dr Buchman ever since. From the worlds of journalism and sport he moved out into a wider field . He has travelled in all five continents. He is the trusted friend of many states men and knows conditions, also, from thousands of talks with ordinary people in country after country.
Howard has found a new momentum and purpose for his pungent, political pen. His books have sold over four million copies in twelve languages, and his plays have been produced not only on Broadway and in the West End of London, but to vast crowds i in the open throughout Asia, in the Royal Palace of Iran and in the African townships of Johannesburg. His musical play, 'The Vanishing Island', alone was seen by twenty Heads of State and Prime Ministers, as he took it, with its cast of 250 people, to 28 countries from Washington, through Asia, the Middle East and Africa, to Europe.
